Leading Low-FODMAP Diet
The Low-FODMAP diet is a dietary plan designed to alleviate symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional gastrointestinal disorders. It involves reducing the intake of certain types of carbohydrates known as FODMAPs—fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols—which are poorly absorbed in the small intestine and can lead to digestive discomfort.
